Will sheer curtains block sunlight?
Sheer curtains are made from a delicate transparent and lightweight sheer fabric that acts more like a sunlight diffuser than a sunlight blocker. The sheers will soften the sunlight and reduce its harsh glare.
It doesn't have the same thermal insulation benefit that you will find with more heavier fabrics such as blockout curtains.
How to clean sheer curtains?
Sheer curtains can be cleaned by hand-washing them in cold water with a mild detergent. Be sure to avoid scrubbing the fabric too hard, or it may become damaged. Rinse the curtains well and air-dry them away from direct sunlight. If necessary, you may also use a steamer to remove any wrinkles or creases in the fabric.
